A musical extravaganza

A concert for all the family to raise funds for the FTQ fighting fund will take place on 13 September at 7.30 in the church of St Mary & St Michael, New Road, Mistley.

The concert will be performed by local young musicians and the programme will be a combination of classical as well as contemporary music with Peter and the Wolf as the final piece of the evening. This concert is part of a series of fund raising events planned for the autumn and winter.

The Village Green Inquiry was concluded at the end of July having taken twice as long as predicted and the Inspector is expected to deliver his report in mid October. FTQ remains optimistic that the quay will be declared a Village Green and the fence will come down as a result.

Tickets for the concert (including the drink) are £10 for adults and £5 for under 12s. They can be obtained from Lucca, The Thorn or MistleyPost Office or by emailing [email protected]. Refreshments will also be available.
